Patrons may request and renew items by calling the library at 978-263-4680, or visiting the library website at www.boxlib.org and clicking on “Your Library Account.”
Winter Weather Policy
If the Boxborough Schools are closed due to weather, the Sargent Memorial Library will not open until 1:00 pm, weather permitting. This will allow the DPW time to plow and treat the town roads, library driveway and parking lot. During inclement weather, please call the library (978-263-4680) to confirm the library is open. You may order and renew library items here.
The Boxborough Council on Aging and the Sargent Memorial Library are pleased to showcase the creative talents of Boxborough Seniors. This multi media art exhibit will be on display in the library meeting room through Thursday, February 13, 2014. Read more here

Irish Magic and Music on Tuesday, March 11th
The Sargent Memorial Library will host two Irish programs featuring Tom & Debbie O'Carroll on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.
4:00 pm Irish Magic Show - Tom & Debbie O'Carroll use magic, music, songs, poetry, tales and lots of audience participation to enchant young audiences with the history, language and customs of Ireland. This program is for children and their families.
These programs are supported in part by a grant from the Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, and also by the generosity of The Friends of the Boxborough Library.

Universal Class offers self -guided classes on a wide variety of subjects with a growing catalog of over 500 courses. Downloadable E-books Available to Library Users
The Sargent Memorial Library, through its membership in the C/WMARS network, provides free downloadable eBooks via Overdrive and Visit the C/WMARS Digital Catalog to find a listing of the titles that are available. The Digital Catalog's HELP section can answer many of your questions about downloading eBooks, including step-by-step instructions for downloading the Overdrive software for all supported devices
Looking for more? Freading, (a service funded through the generosity of the Sargent Memorial Library Foundation) also allows users to transfer e-books to a variety of portable devices by using a personal computer or by dowloading an app to a tablet such as an iPad or a Kindle Fire. One difference between Freading and OverDrive is that Freading titles are always available--no waiting lists.
